As a Grassroots Community Club we understand that the beautiful game is a powerful vehicle in teaching young children key life lessons that can be utilised further as they grow into adulthood.

To achieve this we offer a safe and enjoyable environment allowing the children to develop in line with their own commitment, attitude and abilities.

Trust runs through to the core of the club. You need to be trustworthy as well as trusting. We must trust each other as together we are stronger.

Everyone representing the club should put their heart and soul into everything you do, go the extra mile to succeed.

Respect yourself, teammates, opponents, coaches and parents. Respect the laws of the game and those that administer them.

Through good times and bad, it is expected that players and staff represent the badge with pride. No challenge should be seen as a mountain too tall to be climbed.

Enjoyment

Without enjoyment football is nothing. Every player, parent and coach should be able to love and enjoy the game in a ‘Safe to fail’ environment which is a priority at AFC Stoneham.

Player Pathway

Children learn and develop at varying speeds whilst playing the game for different reasons. AFC Stoneham has a structured player pathway that incorporates Foundation, Development and Advanced teams aligned to supporting the various stages of a player's development and individual needs right through to a good level of senior football.

We believe that the pathway encourages players to enjoy football whilst developing self-confidence ideally leading to success. Children will play within an environment which allows them to learn and develop further in various ways whilst hopefully falling in love with the ‘beautiful game’.
