Saturday Update - 12th December 2020

Under 7 Spitfires

The Under 7 Spitfires can be proud of their performance this week and in particular the second half. They fought back from a deficit to level the game only to have the opposition snatch it at the end. Some really good passing football was played with good running with the ball too. Brody Hibberd and Cody Walters had their shooting boots on. Player of the Day went to Brody Hibberd for his mesmerising dribbles!

Under 7 Wolves

After a horror start to the game we slowly built our way back in and showed great character. At one point in the game we were 5-1 down. The team worked hard for each other and produced some wonderful goals to go 7-5 ahead the game ended up a draw with the opposition scoring from the last kick of the Game. Was a very entertaining game and I am proud of the team. MOTM went to Lucas for showing us great movement off the Ball and worked hard. He thoroughly had earned his goal he scored too.

Under 7 Panthers

Considering it was an early KO, the boys started with blistering energy with Ollie's 3 moments of magic and also James with a traditional thunder strike. Then the game got scrappy but managed to hang on for a deserved win. Lucas and Jacob did well breaking up play and tackling and Aaryan provided some important interceptions. Allesandro did well in goal and Jenson scored two fine finishes. Ollie scored another goal and was unfortunate not to get man of the match. Man of the match today was Oliver. His energy & tackling caused problems. Well done Oliver!

Under 7 Jaguars

Boys fought well throughout the match with some amazing saves from Charlie, lots of chances and could have gone either way. Player Of The Match went to Ollie Fear for his listening to instructions and week on week improvement.

Under 10 Girls Panthers

U10 Girls Panthers drew 1-1 today in another competitive, positive performance. Meme Walters with our goal today following some great link up play. The girls have developed so much since the beginning of the season and the last couple of weeks since coming out of lockdown 2.0 has really highlighted their improvement. Players of the match were Caitlin Rappini for an outstanding performance in all positions, and Laila Pullen for a great performance in goal and pulling off a couple of remarkable saves! Well done girls!

Under 14 Girls

AFC Stoneham U14 - 5 KBS - 0. The Under 14 Girls were lucky enough to play on the stadium pitch today, and secured a convincing win. The girls kept possession well throughout the game and remained dominant. After hitting the woodwork on numerous occasions, five different goal scorers eventually hit the back of the net!
