AFC Stoneham will aim to strip AFC Portchester of their unbeaten record in the league when they welcome them to Stoneham Lane on Saturday 11th February.

Stoneham come into their biggest game of the seasonon brilliant form, winning nine of their last 10 league games, with their last loss being at the hands of Saturday’s opponents.

Their most recent result was a 3-1 triumph over Shaftesbury, with Liam Callaghan, Duarte Martins and Scott Hills grabbing goals to maintain their unbeaten run at home.

Martins is the second top scorer in all competitions this season on 31 goals, only bettered by Portchester’s Brett Pitman, suggesting that you should get yourself down to Stoneham Lane if you want to see some goals.

The league leaders come into this game off the back of an 8-0 loss to Farnborough in the Hampshire Senior Cup, however they fielded a young squad for this game, perhaps a sign of respect to thePurps.

They have won 21 of their last 23 games and still remain unbeaten in the league this season, something they will want to maintain whilst snatching away Stoneham’s impressive home record.

Their danger man Brett Pitman is still the highest scoring player between the Premier League and step five football this season, but if he wants to add to his tally of 38 goals, he must take on the joint best defence in the league this season, equalled by themselves and Bemerton.
