AFC Stoneham will look to bounce back when they travel to Brockenhurst in the next round of the Wessex League Cup on Tuesday 22 nd November.
Brockenhurst:
The Badgers were founded in 1898 and currently play at the Meadens Skoda Arena on Grigg Lane, a venue they moved to in 1951.
The home side come into this game off the back of a 1-0 defeat away to Christchurch in the league on Saturday.
Brockenhurst have entered this round of the cup following a 4-0 thrashing of Bemerton Heath Harlequins all the way back in September.
Their last five games has seen 16 goals so this could suggest a high scoring match, and their top goal scorer Speechley-Price will certainly be looking to add to his goal tally of 13.
AFC Stoneham:
Stoneham also come into this game off the back of a league defeat following a narrow 4-2 loss away to Laverstock & Ford, so the Purps will be hoping to prove that this was just a bump in the road.
The previous round saw them beat Cowes Sports 3-1 thanks to a double from top scorer Martins and one from defender Ovington.
Stoneham are currently 5 th in the league and will want to take recent form into the cup with them, but they know it won’t be an easy task against an attacking Brockenhurst side.
This match-up is hard to predict and could go either way, with their last three meetings all ending in different results.
Last three meetings:
26/03/22 AFC Stoneham 3-2 Brockenhurst (PREM)
25/01/22 AFC Stoneham 1-2 Brockenhurst (RCC)
27/11/21 Brockenhurst 1-1 AFC Stoneham (PREM)
