Womens FA Cup - 3rd qualifying round
Royal Wootton Bassett Town 0
AFC Stoneham 1
Scorer: Moody 66mins
Our ladies won a tight and tense FA Cup encounter today which was probably always going to be decided by one goal.
Although the girls were undoubtedly deserved winners the game could have gone either way and the deciding moment was a cracking 35 yard free kick from midfielder Rebecca Moody on 66 minutes.
The girls now progress to the FA Cup first round proper for the third consecutive season and worked extremely hard today to record a superb result and, as always, were a huge credit to our club.
We thank Royal Wootton Bassett for their excellent hospitality and wish them the very best of luck for the season.
Well done girls !!
