Saturday Round Up
U7 Spitfires
U7 Spitfires played Winchester City Youth in the early KO at Stoneham Park. In contrast to last week, the boys were quickly at it in the first quarter and scored 3 through Donatello to take the lead. Winchester battled back and grabbed a couple of goals before Asher restored the lead in the second quarter, and the Spitfires went in at halftime a goal up. Winchester came back out fired up and managed 2 goals either side of a great goal from Charlie from a well worked corner. Spitfires went to sleep in a mad 2 min spell conceeding 3 goals, which did see them pick their energy levels up, and Jayden got one back. MOM today went to Alfie for his work rate breaking up Winchester attacks!

A quick start to the game game us the upper hand that we managed to keep in this 8 goal goal.

Some fantastic football was played when we kept our shape and positions.

Had a very good 8-1 win
U10 Girls Panthers
AFC Stoneham Panthers 8
Stubbington Swans 0
The Panthers have played some really good football in the last couple of weeks and won this game comfortably.
Hat tricks from Jessica P and Jessica H and goals from Georgia and Emily secured the win.
The most pleasing thing is seeing the development of players who have spent most of the season ‘in the shadows’. Imogen had her best game by far and Rosie has been very good the last couple of weeks.
Away team POM - Imogen
Parents POM - Imogen

U11 Girls
AFC Stoneham Tornados 3
AFC Stoneham Pumas 3
What a game between 2 very good teams. The girls fought from start to finish, with amazing play.
Both teams never gave in and battled till the very end. A fair results for both teams.
Goals from Selina 2 and Millie Fear 1
Player Of The Day - Managers Selina for her unbelievable work rate and 2 cracking goals.
Freya Caplen for her solid tackles and organisation.
U12 Panthers V Hartley Wintney
A very good first half, with the Panthers playing some really good football, only the crossbar denying Melina her first of the game. The girls continued to pass and move the ball well, with some great work down the wings. The first goal came in the 15th minute, with Melina scoring her 1st. The girls pushed for a 2nd, but some good defending from the Hartley defenders kept it at 1-0 till half time.
HT 1-0 Panthers
The girls started the second half with the same intensity from the first half, and in the 37th minute Melina got her 2nd of the game, 2 minutes later Melina completed her hat-trick. The girls pushed for more goals, but some great saves from the Hartley keeper kept it at 3-0.
Brilliant team performance.
FT 3-0 Panthers
Opposition player of the match went to Tallulah
Parents player of the match went to Juno
U14 Knights
U14 Knights beat Braishfield Bees 6-0 at home playing up a year in the Testway League Div 2.
Goals were scored by Leo x2, Waseem x 2, Ben & Brandon.
Tough first half performance due to the wind but the boys turned things around in the second half and came out a much better side. MOM was Ben, consistent with moving the ball around and keeping it simple throughout the game. Also scored a nice header from a great delivery from Will.
U16 Girls JPL
On a very cold morning in Sutton Scotney AFC Stoneham U16’s JPl girls played Andover new Street in the Hampshire cup semi-final. It was a hard fought game with the wind being a contributing factor, however Stoneham took an early lead with a goal from Kayleigh Maishman in the first five minutes. However Andover were quick to respond on the attack to level the game up. unfortunately AFC Stoneham backed off and Andover got a goal from the break to go 2-1 up. AFC Stoneham U16’s battled hard and got an equaliser from Kayleigh Marshman just before half time. With 10 minutes to go and both teams battling hard AfC Stoneham finally got the chance from a cross for Molly Gladwell to header the winner home.
Taking the Under 16 JPL girls into the Hampshire cup final!! 💜🙌💜🙌
Well done to all of our teams and especially our U16 Girls JPL in reaching the County Cup final.
