Our U14 Wolves added another trophy to our clubs haul for the season this afternoon with a dramatic penalty shootout victory having drawn 2-2 with Southside after 90 minutes.
Floyd Mitchell gave the young Purps the lead before Southside raced into a 2-1 lead early in the 2nd half.
As the cup looked destined to go to Southside captain marvel George Bufton leapt like a salmon with 3 minutes to go sending the game to penalties which the boys eventually won 6-5.
An emotional winning manager , Aiden Bevan, said " What a fantastic victory . The boys never stopped and were so resilient allowing them to get their just reward in the end. I could not be prouder".
Whilst it was a shame that the game had to be decided on penalties and one team had to lose both teams were a credit to their clubs in a game that was very competitive but played in a very sporting manner throughout.
