Our very own Alisha Buckingham has been representing England over the last couple of weeks in the Womens European Beach Soccer finals in Portugal.
The team beat Portugal, Czechoslovakia and Switzerland to reach the final where they eventually lost to Russia.
We managed to catch up with Alisha during the week and she was extremely happy with both her own and the teams progress during the tournament.
“The support and messages from family, friends and everyone at the AFC Stoneham has been amazing and means so much. It is such a pleasure to represent my country playing the sport I love and I am looking forward to giving it everything I’ve got in the final tomorrow”
