FA Cup v Yeovil Town

The result was not what we wanted although we knew that against a full time team of professional footballers that was realistically always a possibility.

The result though was the only small blip on a truly wonderful day which made many lifelong memories for a lot of people both young and old

To see our boys enter the pitch in front of over 2000 people with our marvellous little mascots was emotional.

The boys played their hearts out and left nothing on the pitch, as we knew they would.

The support from 208 away fans was truly unbelievable.

We all celebrated our goal as if we had scored the winning goal in the FA Cup final!

The boys applauding the fans at the end of the game is a picture which will be etched in the memory forever.

Yeovil Town could not have made our special day any better and were outstanding hosts. A wonderful club full of warm, respectful and fantastic people from top to bottom.

Yesterday was never about the score. The day was about people, memories and in

our own small way putting our great club on the map.

Everyone played their part in ensuring that we all made that happen in abundance on possibly the greatest day in our clubs history.
