AFC Stoneham are delighted to announce that 50 of our young girls will be involved in the UEFA Women's Euros 2022
The girls will be accompanied to each game by a watching parent and chaperones supplied by the club.
They will be flag bearers for each game at St Mary's during the opening pre-match ceremony, team mascots and tossing the coin pre-kick off in the centre circle.
We are currently hosting the Northern Ireland team and on Thursday at 6.30pm BBC South will be broadcasting live from our ground doing a piece on female football including a number of our girls.
Pictured is Lexie from our U14 Eagles who will be carrying the Northern Ireland flag on Thursday evening when they play Norway at St Mary's. Lexie will also be appearing on BBC Radio Solent with our Chairman at 7am on Thursday to discuss the Womens Euros and female football at AFC Stoneham.
All of the above are wonderful "once in a lifetime" opportunities for the girls and parents.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank UEFA, The FA, Euronics , Hampshire FA , the BBC and the Northern Ireland team for creating these fantastic experiences for our girls.
