The highlight of the two recent games against Alresford Town and Baffin Milton Rovers were the senior debuts of four of our development squad which, again, highlights the excellent player pathway the club has created.
Isaac Evans, Jan Blazicek , George Ockwell and Kieran James all started over the two games to mark their senior debuts for the club.
Our development squad has only one objective which is to support good young players making the transition from youth football to adult football. The debuts of Issac, Jan, George and Kieran gave us all far more satisfaction than winning a cup or league in honesty. That is not to say we do not like winning a cup or a league occasionally as well !!
The club has invested a lot of time and money into our development squad over the last few seasons to ensure that our young players can play at the best level possible even if that means utilising our club as a springboard to a higher level.
Well done to our development squad and particularly to the four new debutants.
