Club round up - Saturday Sept 26th

SATURDAY ROUND UP

U7 Spitfires played excellent today. Gave the opposition a head start today but still managed to get a positive result. Brody Hibberd, Henry Polkinghorne, Cody Walters & Adriano Philips all done what they have done on previous weeks. Special mention for Harvey Whyte who was amazing today. POM went to Adriano Philips who was excellent in attack as always but his defending was top class. Really pleased with how this team are performing.#babypurps

U7 Stoneham Wolves got off to a flying start, moving the ball well and showing some good individual skills. However we took our foot of the gas and allowed the opposition to get into the game.We made sloppy mistakes and then grew into the game again to see it out well.

MOM went to Chase Marjason for putting into practice what the coaches had worked on with him.

U7 Panthers - Match report

The boys have improved every week since the first game and this week didn’t disappoint. After a nervous start where we lost concentration, the boys started to play good football. It was Ollies turn to shine 3 times, with Jenson getting two good bits of play

and Lucas with a bit of magic rounding the GK. all the players are staring to be more confident, James was impressive at the back defending, Oliver again with his energy. Alessandro was great with his tackling and kicking. Thanks to Jacobs good saves in goal kept the score down in our favour. Very pleased with the teams " never say due" attitude. Well done boys.

Stoneham U7 Hurricane's

The team delivered a good team performance, but were unlucky with the outcome. A few stand out points from the game, Sam made a very courageous save between the sticks, Rudi scored a well deserved goal to open the scoring and Zachary put in a tremendous tackle in the dying minutes. Zachary was our player of the match with his resilient defending throughout.

U10 girls won 5-2 today. Millie x2, Amelie x2 and Macey x1. Player of the day was Millie

U10 Panthers Girls won 2-0 in a great display in only their second game together. Some tough tackling, great running and battling off the ball meant we dominated large spells in the opposition half and created some great chances to score. Meme Walters and Madison Stickland with the goals. Player of the match goes to Caitlin Rappini for a solid display in defence. Special mentions to goalkeeper Laila Pullen for some great saves and Lily Harris for growing in confidence throughout the game and creating several chances to score. Well done girls!

U13 Knights lost 4-3 in their Wechsel HPL away fixture against JK Academy in Horndean. At half time we were 1-0 down. Following 3 goals in 3 minutes from (Man of the Match Sam T (36’), Sam B (38’,39’) the team were left rueing the chances not taken in the first half.

Well done to all of our teams especially our U10 Girls Panthers who won their first ever game together . Well done girls !!
