We are delighted that all of our teams will be able to resume training from this Thursday (Dec 3) as per normal with the exception of our teams who train at Thornden and Toynbee who will remain closed until January.
All of our teams will re-commence games from this weekend apart from our Ladies who will not restart until January.
NEW GRASS PITCHES

These are located on the opposite side of Stoneham Lane to our main stadium and comprise 2 x 9-a-side pitches, 1 x Senior pitch and 1 x Junior pitch. Matches and training sessions will commence on these pitches this weekend (Dec 5 and 6).

POSITION VACANT - CHILD WELFARE OFFICER(S)
Our current Child Welfare officer , Barry Christopher, will be taking a very well deserved rest from football next summer having been involved in grassroots football for some 35 years.
As the club has grown the workload around the role has inevitably increased during a time that the complexities and profile of child welfare and safeguarding of children has become far more prevalent in society as well as grassroots football.
In truth this vitally important role, whilst the club has over 700 players, requires at least two new people if not three.
We would be delighted to hear from anyone who has an interest in a child welfare role and volunteering to contact: chairman@afcstoneham.co.uk or 07841696579 to discuss the role with Barry in more detail.
Finally, we would like to thank all of our players, coaches, managers, parents and supporters for their understanding and support during these challenging times for everyone whilst we are all delighted to be returning to football this week.
