AFC Stoneham are at home for the second successive league game as they take on an in-form Fareham Town in the Wessex Premier League on Saturday 4th February.
AFC Stoneham:
The Purps come into this game off the back of midweek success after beating Bemerton Heath Harlequins 2-1 in a fiercely competitive contest.
Goals from captain Jim Orvis and top scorer Duarte Martins were enough to edge past Bemerton and open up a six-point gap between themselves and third place.
Stoneham are in a good run of form as they are unbeaten in their last 8 league games, whilst maintaining an undefeated record at Stoneham Lane, something they will hope to continue Saturday.
However, they know it will be a tough task against an in-form side that previously beat them on the opening day of the season.
Fareham Town:
10th place Fareham are currently on a run of three wins in a row, with their most recent being a 3-1 win against Division One side Andover New Street in the Wessex League Cup.
Last time out in the league, they pulled off a surprising win when they beat high-flying Horndean 4-3 in front of 300 people.
A brace from Jack Breed, as well as goals from Josh Benfield and Curtis Robbins, handed Horndean only their second loss in the Wessex Premier League, harming them in their pursuit for promotion.
Top scorer Benfield will look to continue his goal scoring run and score against Stoneham for the second time this season, with the player getting the winner in their 1-0 win over the Purpsback in game week one.
