Hythe and Dibden preview

AFC Stoneham are at home for the second time this week as they host Hythe & Dibden in the Wessex Premier League on Saturday 10th December with a 3pm kick-off.

 AFC Stoneham:

Stoneham are back at home again this weekend following midweek league success, beating Moneyfields 3-0 courtesy of goals from Bainbridge (x2) and Martins.

This was Martins 26th goal of the season, 12th in the league, and the win moves the Purps above Moneyfields into 5th, whilst still having a game in hand on most teams around them.

Therefore, a win on Saturday will help Stoneham maintain the pressure that they are applying on the top three.

 Hythe&Dibden

Hythe & Dibden were founded in 1902 and play their games at Clayfields after moving there in 2014.

They come into this game off the back of a nine-goal thriller as they beat 18th place Pagham 6-3, with their new signing Alex Sawyer scoring on his debut.

Terry Cox’s side currently sit 7th in the league, 13 positions higher than they finished last season, showing that they are an improved side this year as they travel to Stoneham.

Their top scorer this season is Craig Feeney, he has scored 12 goals this season, with five coming in the league, so he will be looking to add to his tally this weekend.
